We believe that there is a story to be told in every bottle of wine, and within each bottle, lays the path to an incredible journey.
Wine, like music, can be nuanced, beautiful, complex, raucous, or just plain enjoyable. It can bring both intellectual and hedonistic pleasure, but most importantly, wine has the ability to bring people together. Some of our most enriching experiences and warm memories center around family, friends, and a kick-ass bottle (or two, or three) of wine.
We believe that quality rather then quantity matter. That is why we strive to bring you, our new friends and fellow wine lovers, the best there is when it comes to the ever changing world of wine. We gravitate to the little guys, like us, who show great passion for their craft. We believe in relationships. Through our enthusiasm, service, and true desire to know you and your palate, our hope is that Swirl becomes not just a pit stop, but a gathering place sans judgement, for a wine adoring community to explore their senses and create friendships. Bad Ass Wines
DuMol Chardonnay "Chloe" '06
These guys are rock stars in the world of wine, and this is one of their superstar, single vineyard Chardonnays out of the Russian River Valley. Robert Parker gives this beauty 92 pts from a winery that is clearly on top of its game and pushing the envelop to develop an amazing sensory experience.
Aubert Chardonnay "Ritchie Vineyard" '07
This is brilliance in a bottle. Purity and elegance that exceeds expectations, it is hard to find a better Chardonnay than those created by Mark Aubert, and this rich, full-bodied Chard, out of Sonama, is truly something special.
Old vines naturally produce low yields, and Vall Llach reduces yields even further through careful vineyard management for densely concentrated wines. This is the flagship wine of the estate made with 100 year old vines of Carinena and Garnacha, but blended in with newer plantings of Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah. This is a wine of great purity and presence, with an individual character that's all its own. As it enters the mouth, it has magnificent flavors of concentrated fruit and earth with a tannin structure that is ripe, sweet, yet delicate. The winery claims that this can be aged up to 50 years, but is anyone going to delay gratification to find out?Vall Llach "VL" '04 Priorat red blend
Sean Thackrey Pleiades XVII
He is one of California's most iconic and mystical winemakers, with a proven track record of producing consistently stunning wines year in and year out. This is his kitchen sink blend of Carignane, Barbera, Mourvedre, Syrah, Sangiovese, and a touch of Viognier. To quote him, "This is to offend the wine police." The wine is round, generous, savory, and all that is delicious.

Although originally an Italian grape variety from Piedmont, the Bonarda grape has enjoyed much success in the rich soils & generous climate of Argentina, where it is one of the main grape varieties grown. What a hidden gem! Composed of mostly Merlot, from the right bank of Bordeaux in the town of Fronsac, comes this exuberant, juicy delight. We love that fact that this small estate doesn't knock you over the head with an outrageous price tag merely because it is Bordeaux. Our Swirl 101 wine class is an ideal way to introduce oneself to the world of wine. Let us guide you through the quagmire of wine terminology and grape varietals. The basics of wine tasting, de-coding a wine label, and poplar grape varietals will be explored. Space is limited to twelve Swirlers, so reserve your space now!
Swirl 201: The Nitty Gritty
Cost: $25 per class
Tuesday, July 21st, 7pm-8:30pm — Topic: Riesling
Tuesday, September 22nd, 7pm-8:30pm — Topic: TBA
Each "Nitty Gritty" class will be centered around a more in-depth investigation of a specific region, style or varietal.
